FAQ

Most standard inline fans and exhaust fans with brushed AC motors are compatible with variable speed controllers. Fans with brushless EC motors typically require a dedicated 0-10V signal rather than a standard dimmer. Check your fan's motor type and the controller's output specification before connecting.

Running a fan at very low speeds for extended periods can cause motor overheating in some designs. Most Grozone controllers include a minimum speed setting to prevent this. As a general rule, avoid running a fan at less than 30 to 40 percent of its rated speed for prolonged periods unless the manufacturer's specification explicitly supports it.

A basic dimmer like the Grozone DIM-1 maintains whatever speed you set manually. A temperature-responsive controller like the TV2 reads a temperature sensor and adjusts fan speed dynamically as conditions change, keeping the grow room within a set range without manual intervention.

The Grozone TV12 and TV2 are single-output controllers, suited to one fan or a pair of fans wired in parallel within the rated load. For independent control of two separate fans, you would need two controllers or a climate controller with multiple output channels. Contact BioFloral's team for advice on multi-fan setups.
